Lightness of being #11 Fiddler on the roof (25th July 2013)

Dear...

I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called..'
                          Ephesians 4:1

Everything in moderation. A sensible attitude towards life. But is a balanced life truly the will of God for Christians? Be it the Old Testament or New Testament, anointed men and women of God did not live their faith in half measures. They were fervent in their walk with God.

"Fiddler on the roof," is an Academy Award winning 1971 film adaptation of a successful Broadway musical. The storyline focuses on the lot of the Jews in Russia which is as precarious as a fiddler on a roof: trying to scratch out a pleasant tune, while not breaking their necks. The fiddler appears throughout the film as a metaphoric reminder of the Jews' ever-present fears and danger, and also as a symbol of the traditions Tevye the main Jewish protagonist is trying to hold onto as his world changes.( Wikipedia)

Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed:for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
                         Joshua 1:9

Like eaglets making its first few tentative steps to the edge of the nest up in the peaks, we are afraid to take that leap of faith. Is God truly there for us as we obey His Spirit's leading?
Man desires conclusions, God wants our obedience. We often let the specters of "what might?"  daunt us, when we should be  placing our full trust in the Almighty God.
I am not much into heights, for my knees go wobbly when I looked out into the wide horizon or down into the deep chasm. But will it not be better to focus on the next step that the Spirit of God is leading us into? Will it not be even better to focus on Christ regardless of our circumstances?  And to remind ourselves that victory is already won on the cross, the victory that we must carry upon our heart, even as we now out work this truth.

And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
                    Numbers 13:30

"How to be an overcomer," ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GtmBk4gEtmY) by the late David Collins, this was the half hour youtube lesson our good Lord led me to, as I hit a wall in my thoughts for this sharing. Exhausted I must be for I dozed through the video, but interestingly, the Spirit awaken me at the 18th minute of this video to receive the clarity of words that our Lord wanted to show me.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for, evidence of things unseen. Obeying God's leading does not mean that things will turn out the way we thought it would. We often  attribute it to spiritual challenges from the devil and rightly so, and in being steadfast in submitting to our Lord, we will overcome for God is Sovereign. But there are also times when it is God Who has closed the door upon us, for He has other plans.

Furthermore, when I came to Troas to preach Christ's gospel, and a door was opened unto me of the Lord,
                     2 Corinthians 2:12

Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.
                     2 Corinthians 2:14

It is with joy for our good Lord knows my heart. I desire to follow His call to bring godly values where He has placed me. It is not without challenges, but I am thankful for His grace. Yet unlike Paul, the doors that I thought were meant to be opened were closed on me has brought fleeting moments of discouragement and brief pangs of anxiety, though thanks be to God, as shared previously, He has lifted my spirits and given me the boldness to move forth with deeper assurance. He provides.

'I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart:wait, I say, on The Lord.'
                       Psalms 27:13-14

Today, I am reminded that wanting to do right for God does not mean doing it our way, but it must always be His way. It is good to be still and know His will, and because God knows my heart, He will intervene even when I realized  not that my execution of His will might be wrong.
God will open the right door for me at His timing, not mine. But I must be prepared to wait upon Him. To abide in Him.

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped:
therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
                        Psalms 28:7

As I bring this meandering to a close, I was reminded by Pastor Edmund Chan's summary of what faith means.
"Faith's chief starting point is not living for God but living in God. Faith is essentially a restedness in God, born out of an abiding with God, that we might arise to do great exploits for God."

"It takes faith to cease striving and let God take charge. In doing so, our inner compulsion is being replaced by a deep restedness in Him."
( Charles Vun, ICM director)

Abraham was a faithful servant of God. He went when God called. But his faith faltered when it came to the follow through. Instead of resting in God, he strived to overcome challenges by his own strength, in lying about his wife twice over.

And without faith it is impossible to be well- pleasing unto him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that seek after him.
                    Hebrews 11:6

Faith is knowing the will of God, and being willing to obey.
But not on our own strength but yielding to God,  in absolute dependence upon Him always.
"And that requires a focus on not on our faith, but on the God of our faith."
( quote from Charles Vun, ICM Director)

Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.
                             James 4:10

Lightness of being #10 The visible God (20 July 2013)

Rejoice in the Lord alway:and again I say, Rejoice.
Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
                                         Philippians 4:4-7

An oppressive spirit fell upon me last night. I felt this aching anxiety. Meditating upon the Word of God would be a balm, but I was both exhausted and in truth too distracted.
But God is good. He awaken me this morning and as I finally took time with Him in reflective prayers, He lifted the burdensome fears that was upon me, and the peace that only Christ can give was upon me.

As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of rain, so was the appearance of the brightness round about. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of the Lord. And when I saw it, I fell upon my face, and I heard a voice of one that spake.
                                            Ezekiel 1:28

Is God  real? The last time this doubt crossed my mind, I had an interesting experience. It was in my previous abode in River Valley and I still recall vividly being roused from my slumber in the wee hours, and just sitting upright,  exclaiming the words "away from me you devil," and in that transient point between dream and awareness, seeing a vision of a snake bouncing off me.
We think we live only in the natural world. But running parallel is the spiritual realm, which most are not cognizance of, but is equally if not more impactful upon us.

Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see:to whom be honour and power everlasting. Amen.
                           1 Timothy 6:16

God always lay the path. Last night, in my half drowsy state, the verse He brought me to was Ezekiel 1:28. None of us will see God through our natural senses. Even Moses, His chosen servant saw God from a burning bush. The Priest Ezekiel saw God through a vision. Jacob the father of the tribes of Israel wrestled with God through the night, but was it in the person or in the spirit?
The one and only time I saw God was also through a vision He gave me in my sleep.
From a lovely azure blue sky, a blinding light emanated forth, and as I felt myself lifted up, I heard a voice like the roaring waves, commanding me to rise with the oriole.
Oriole is a bird with lovely plumage. But next to the word "oriole" in the dictionary that I consulted the next morning, was the word "orison, " which means "to pray."
And indeed, in the years since, prayer ministry has been where God has placed me, much as I have never imagined possible that fateful early morning.

And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east:and his voice was like a noise of many waters:and the earth shined with his glory. And it was according to the appearance of the vision which I saw, even according to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city:and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell upon my face.
                               Ezekiel 43:2-3

It was a good many years since I had the vision of the glory of God before He brought me to Ezekiel 43:2-3. This verse literally leaped at me like a long lost friend for it describes in exact words, the vision I had. God is good and He used the publication of my first book "Reflections - A traveler's muse," to bring me to that knowledge of His glorious form that is already described in the Bible.

God is not just real, He is omnipresent. Some of us came to the faith or know of close friends who literally transformed overnight because they experienced the unseen God's hands upon their lives in a miraculous way, be it healing, financials,  escape from the jaws of near death or something that has to be impossible and implausible.
There was the testimony of this well known Russian cosmonaut who testified in the Singapore newspapers about how his space walk almost ended in oblivion for him when the line that he was tethered on to his spacecraft snapped, and in his desperate plea to the God of the Universe, he was miraculously pushed back into his craft and not be sucked in the infinite space.

When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee,
Thy face, Lord, will I seek.
                    Psalms 27:8

God by His grace lifted the veil in our hearts. For some, it could be in a dramatic manner, for others in more subtle but equally impactful way.
And accepting His grace of salvation is but just the beginning of our journey as a Christian. We will and need to spend the rest of our realigned life with our focus now on Christ, to be transformed unto His likeness, to be made ready for His return. And to be molded by God our Potter, our hearts must be willing, for His enabling grace to work upon us, for God will not impose.

I had fainted, unless I had believed
to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
 Wait on the Lord:
be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart:wait, I say, on the Lord.
             Psalms 27:13-14

The Word of God is God. His words not just teaches, encourages, correct but enlightens. And His Word works in conjunction with His indwelling Holy Spirit residing in our hearts.
God has and continues to be very visible in my life. He will be for you too if you will let His Spirit transform you from the natural carnal man, to the spirit man.
And immersing your heart in His Word is an essential part of your walk with our Lord, for how can you know God, if you do not seek to know Him?

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?
I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
                   Isaiah 43:19

God will bring us to places beyond our finite understanding. We will not just be out of our comfort zone, but will come to the realization that without His enabling grace, it will be nigh impossible for us to do His will. And in living a life of surrender, God will lead us to a victorious life, in this fallen world.
But we must never forget Him. God is for real. But it is always so easy for us to lose sight of Him and regress back into the delusory world of the devil.

Deuteronomy 8:11-15
Beware that thou forget not the Lord thy God, in not keeping his commandments, and his judgments, and his statutes, which I command thee this day: Lest when thou hast eaten and art full, and hast built goodly houses, and dwelt therein; And when thy herds and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver and thy gold is multiplied, and all that thou hast is multiplied; Then thine heart be lifted up, and thou forget the Lord thy God, which brought thee forth out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage; Who led thee through that great and terrible wilderness, wherein were fiery serpents, and scorpions, and drought, where there was no water; who brought thee forth water out of the rock of flint;

Lightness of being #9 Grounded exuberance (13 July 2013)

Dear...

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
                   Psalms 121:1-2

I am a little distracted these couple of days. Twelve lovely woman have caught my eyes.
Thankfully it is not lustful but rather, an appreciation of fine art in the form of twelve scrolls painted in rich and vibrant colors, representing womenfolk in Japan in the Edo period (18th century). The copy I have is from the 1920s, the original(19th century) which is considered a historical treasure resides in a private museum in Japan.

I have come to learn that it is always good to take time with our Lord, whenever one's heart starts to wander off.  And in my submission, may our good Lord use me to paint His thoughts that is not just heavenly but that will imbue in you the desire to seek Him more.

Given that man is born to trouble, is it not wise to acknowledge God's favor upon us every day of our finite lives, for by His grace, He enables us to make every day a blessed day, to walk in joy and peace, independent of our circumstances.
Indeed,  being a believer has its privileges( Sounds like the old Amex card slogan!)

Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:
                   Matthew 6:19-20

The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.
                    Psalms 121:8

Paintings are lovely but it is a challenge to keep them in pristine condition. Our humid weather and silver fishes can be a challenge. The Chinese use camphor wood, while their Japanese counterparts prefer the home grown Kiri wood to deter the insects.  But what might still be inadequate for the inanimate, for us, the children of God, His grace is suffice for the day.
Every step of faith we take, God has already laid a sturdy plank.

Rejoice in the Lord always:and again I say, Rejoice.
                       Philippians 4:4

Is a reproduction something to be looked upon with disdain?  Perhaps for most, but for the quality conscious Japanese, especially up to the prewar (ie WW2) period, emulating their eminent predecessors is an honor and the replica must be of the highest grade. Yet rare will the painter of the copy put his name on the painting, for it will be disrespectful to the original artist.
God make us in His likeness. But along came the con artist, the devil who led the first man to sin, and with that act of foolish disobedience, the Spirit of God left man.
By His unmerited favor, the Spirit of God is back with us who believe.
Should we not rejoice in our Great God Who is now transforming us back unto His likeness.

Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
                          Philippians 4:5-6

Moderation is incongruent with most collectors. Collecting for most can sway dangerously to an emotional addiction. I struggle with this too, but thanks be to God, I am often brought back from the brink of excessive compulsion by this verse He ingrained in me at the start of this dangerous journey. That is, what you seek to master, will master you.
God wants us to enjoy His blessing on Earth. Prayers is not about asking for more "toys" but rather, prayers help gird us to the truth, that His provisions must never replace Him our Provider.

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
                          Philippians 4:7

I collect because I love the fact that art reflects the soul of its artist and exquisite art imbibes in one a positive emotion. I focus only on nature, families and the natural world. For when painted with love, God's glory will shine forth. Is it not wonderful that we are the clay, and God is the potter.
"Stop questioning, and start following."  I understand with greater clarity this command God gave me when His Spirit lifted fully the veil in my heart 12 years back.
I am now closer to Christlikeness, because I have let go and let Him mold me, and my heart shouts in grateful joy to God my Creator.

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do:and the God of peace shall be with you.
                            Philippians 4:8-9

This term "grounded exuberance," could be taken to mean deflated joy. This is what worldly treasures will provide. Happiness in all brevity, angst in perpetuity.
But the joy and peace that God gives us, that is a totally different plane.
Be a doer, not just a listener. You will experience the constant presence of God in your life. The exuberance that is grounded upon God's affirmation of our obedience in His leading, this will be ingrained upon our hearts.

And to partake in the joy of walking with God, we must ground ourselves in His Word.
For the word of God is not just the lamp in the darkness of this world, the Word sets the boundaries of our walk with God, the Word uplifts, for the Word is God.
And working in tandem with His Word, is His Spirit residing in our hearts, that the two together will evoke in a willing and responsive heart, that indescribable joy and peace, that only Christ can give.

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof:but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
                  1 John 2:17

Lightness of being #8 Bubble tea gospel (7th July 2013)

Lightness of being#8 Bubble tea gospel (7th July 2013)

Dear...

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves:it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
                     Ephesians 2:8-9

I am zealous to share the Word of God. It is a living Word, in fact the Word is God and God is the Word.  The first good news of the Bible is that God has granted us salvation.
It is His unmerited favor upon us, the sinful seeds of the disobedient first couple, Adam and Eve.  This unmerited favor is by the grace of God, for we cannot work for our salvation.
And when does one hear of, believe in and is willing to in repentance accept this gift of eternal life with God, it is also by the grace of God.

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
                         Ephesians 2:10

But grace is more than unmerited favor. Grace of God includes His enabling power.
Much as we cannot work for our salvation, we must work on our salvation.
Believing is just the beginning. There is a need to follow as the Spirit of God leads, a journey of transformation into Christlikeness.
And increasingly as I sense with greater clarity the Holy Spirit's leading, I have learned to follow in obedience the next small step, and in doing so, it has been with great joy and assured peace to experience God's prescient hands at work, His enabling grace which make possible what I thought was impossible. Faith is our response to God's call. Grace is God's response to our obedience.

That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ:
                       1 Peter 1:7

From the moment you call yourself a Christian,  you begin a journey of refinement through the crucible of God's refining fire. We will need His enabling power for us to go through this journey in victory, for waiting to pounce on us is the devil and its demons. And of greater threat is the enemy within, our old carnal self, that wants to be deluded.

'Finally,  brothers, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you. And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil men, for not everyone has faith.  But the Lord is faithful....'
         2 Thessalonians 3:1-3

I first  believed at age 15. It was an "on call" relationship with the unknown God for the next twenty three years. "On call," meaning I call on God when I needed something, and beyond that, He has no place in my cluttered heart.
I don't read the Bible, rarely pray and never like going to church, for I dislike singing.

They are of the world:therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them.
                        1 John 4:5

At age 38, I started going back to church as part of my 6 Cs, and only started to read the Bible when I was confronted by a gospel spewing couple who clearly were crooks, but knew the Bible well and use that knowledge to mislead the less well grounded in the Christian  community.

And at 40, by His grace, God decided that it was time for me to have the veil in my heart fully lifted, and when His Spirit fell upon me, there was no longer any doubt in my once wandering and wondering heart, as to His divine existence. And after coming back down to earth, after that heavenly experience of indescribable joy and peace, the command God gave me was as straight as an arrow ie  to stop questioning and start following.

It has been twelve years since that defining moment. I am far from perfected, but I know I have grown in my faith. I grew in Christian maturity because I was willing and determined to walk with Christ. And the key was my diligence and discipline to immerse myself in the Word of God, and to let it be the lamp through my journey in this fallen world. And through it all, the Spirit of God has always been there to teach, guide, correct, uplift and enable me in my life of surrender to God my potter.

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before.
                     Matthew 24:24-25

We live in the natural world. But running parallel is the spiritual world where few are aware of nor sensitive too. There is a battle for our souls, much as Satan has been defeated on the cross. Till Christ returns, much as the non believers still have the opportunity to accept the free gift of salvation, the devil is also granted the opportunity to lead you to eternal damnation.

I first started this sharing with the focus on the prosperity gospel. Not a new phenomenon, for the USA had its fair share of controversial television evangelist with their feel good messages and concomitant commercial largess.
I have in the past but more diligently yesterday listened in to the past sermons of some of the more prominent proponents of the prosperity gospel.

I am very concerned with this question - is the flock being fed correctly???

An alternate gospel. Or rather, the shrewd use of appropriate nuances and contextual landscaping to deliver a desired message. I ask that at this juncture, that you take time to read Mathew Chapter 4: The temptation of Christ by the devil.
Many professed long time Christians see nothing wrong with the sermons from the messengers of the prosperity gospel. I would ask that it will be good for you to
- first do an honest self examination. Have you truly seek God with your all in your daily living. If you have, you will know God well, you will be able to have clarity of thought as to the correctness of the messages spewed by supposedly anointed man of God.
- that you ask the Lord how can we help ground the flock be they from the mega churches or the traditional churches in the living waters of the Word of God.

For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before.
                     Matthew 24:24-25

Why bubble tea as the title? God put this in my heart this morning.
Not too sure why, but to fathom a guess. Bubble tea, has at  its core base, tea.
Beyond that are a whole spectrum(250 and still counting) of combinations to cater for diverse needs. Is this why the mega churches are growing exponentially?
For the carnal man, it is nice to have this idea of unmerited favor from God.
But it is definitely much more alluring if unmerited favor goes beyond salvation to diverse possibilities like material wealth, good health, status in society and a wish list as broad as the insatiable human greed.
But the biblical truth is God wants to bring man back to their original relationship of dependency upon a God of grace. It is obeying His will, and not satisfying ours.

The traditional churches are "brewing" the correct message but has a problem with its packaging. Christ sat down to eat and mingle with the sinners, but He never compromised God's Words. Christ was able to connect with His flock. This is the failing of many of the established churches, where the unbridled faith and worship of God has now been cluttered by our blessings and our set ways. Have we become like the hypocritical and legalistic Pharisees?

I will encourage you to take time to watch this half hour video( link above) on what God's grace means, by my spiritual mentors, Paul and Bunty Collins. Having served God faithfully for more than 50 years, they continue to grow from strength to strength in His service, and their faith grew even deeper, much as God brought home their son David, a faithful servant of our Lord, in his 40s.

It will give you a much more balanced view of what grace truly mean
In closing, it is not which church you should go, but where God places you.
But it is important to ask God, why did He place you here? And wherever you maybe, it is imperative that you must be determined to ground yourself upon His Word, and the only true teacher of our faith is not man, no matter how anointed they are, but the Word of God in concert with the indwelling Holy Spirit.

God blesses

Lightness of being #7 Be Thou my vision (4th July 2013)

Dear...

Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel;
I will help thee, saith the Lord,
and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
                  Isaiah 41:14

Talk about a jolt to our system. Most of us seek comfort in God's assurance when the world becomes burdensome. And since man is born to trouble, seeking solace must be the norm. But to be admonished by our source of comfort, is it telling on our lack of faith?
A worms wriggles and squirms. Those of us from an earlier era would have had the opportunity to engage in some mud play, digging the moist brown clay for earthworms, and the worms curl up in the heat, once they are dug out of their subterranean comfort.

Thus saith the Lord, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
                   Jeremiah 6:16

God is love. He will correct us when necessary to bring our lives back into alignment, to recalibrate our focus upon Christ.
And this is the crux of my misconception. Much as I have seek to follow God since His Spirit touched me, I have often erred, albeit with good intent, towards taking the lead rather than following in obedience. In the past one year, since I stepped out of my comfort zone, in obedience, I often struggled to lay the path that I thought God wanted me to. John the Baptist prepared the way for the arrival of Christ. But I believe he did not hewn out a path based on his own understanding or strength. But rather, he walked the route God has already laid. And going forth, in this ministry that God has placed me in, it should be more of a discovery of the route laid and not about laying a new trail.

For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
                 2 Corinthians 4:6

How can I be sure that this is the way to go forward?
Like me, if you were to revisit the times when your act of obedience brought you to a firsthand experience of God's wonderful tapestry unfold as you look to Him and respond to the leading of His Spirit. The awe and unmitigated joy when you sense the prescience of His ways, that inexorably uplifting assurance that raises your faith into a new level,  that time and tide will not take away.

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen:for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.
             2 Corinthians 4:18

This past one month my left eye has not been its usual self. Today I will be seeing a ophthalmologist and our God is not just prescient but full of humor.
The title of today's Daily Bread(thurs July 4th) is titled "Eternal eyesight."
Indeed as the author shared, we struggle with the things of the world which often keeps us away from our focus on Christ and what is to come.
We must live  by faith and not by sight. And as always to bring the point across, God allows not just the coincidence of title in my reading this morning, but the reference  verse 2 Corinthians 4:18 in the DB reading, stared right unto me like an expectant puppy wagging its tail in all anticipation,  when I opened the Bible, as if it was just waiting for me.
Such is the joy of our daily living when we seek not conclusions , but our Lord, and as we draw near to Him, He indeed draws near to us.

Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain:that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
                John 15:16

My ophthalmologist whom I am consulting today is a man of broad experience and age. So is my cardiologist. Slower in pace both might be, but they more than make up for it with their wisdom and care.
Contrast this to our world that tend to place greater value on youthfulness  and denigrate the experience of the wizen.
But God used men like Moses and Abraham who were way past their prime, age wise..
The ways of God are far superior to that of the finite man. Should we not stop questioning and instead start following? And should we not set aside our imperfect wisdom that was surreptitiously acquired by the sinful Adam. And instead let our vision be from the Spirit of God residing in the hearts of every believer in the saving grace of God.

These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
